One of my favorite tracks from the Django Unchained soundtrack is this track by Anthony Hamilton & Elayna Boynton. The soulful, mournful chorus in the background backs up the simple song. The song makes you feel like you should be in a car doing 80mph for the border. The two voices complement each other so well, and the songwriting is superb.
My brother started a music blog where he puts up songs and artists he finds, or the music he’s enjoying at the moment. I highly recommend that you follow him if you want to be introduced to new music. Lots of the music that I most enjoy is stuff to which he introduced me, such as this song, Freedom, which is my absolute favourite song at the moment. It gives me goosebumps and makes me feel empowered and yet somehow makes me want to cry and it’s fantastic despite because of its haunting simplicity.
SO GOOD.
